Southern AfricaSourcing Hub
You might be surprised to learn that all our restaurants are unique. Everything you see has been designed or hand-picked to suit the space, including pieces from up-and-coming Southern African designers via Nando’s very own Southern Africa Sourcing Hub, an online marketplace which includes an array of incredible light fixtures, tables and chairs, condiment stations and tile and pattern designs.
The Sourcing Hub connects selected Southern African designers with Nando’s global interior design teams and is how they curate which pieces go into each restaurant to make them uniquely Nando’s.
Nando’s Hot Young Designer Talent Search
Nando’s Hot Young Designer Talent Search program takes South African design around the globe. Each year, emerging designers from one category get the chance to showcase their original work and be featured in Nando’s restaurants worldwide.
The competition has launched the careers of many designers, including the inaugural 2016 Designer of the Year co-winner Thabisa Mjo of Mash. T Design Studio, whose ‘tutu 2.0’ light proudly hangs in our Harbour Town restaurant in Queensland.
We also collaborate with finalists and winners to use their designs in restaurants via our online marketplace the Southern Africa Sourcing Hub.
